About

The Office of Community Engagement and the Student Leadership of the Williamsburg Engagement Program will be hosting a community discussion on the issue of Food Insecurity in Williamsburg and beyond. Student team leaders will facilitate an open conversation with William & Mary professor Dr. Griffin, William & Mary campus minister and food pantry operator Max Blalock, as well as representatives from three Williamsburg organizations working to alleviate food insecurity: the Williamsburg Community Growers, the House of Mercy, and Grove Christian Outreach. Each panelist will have time to share their experiences and knowledge, and audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions. Students from the Williamsburg Engagement teams who volunteer weekly with these organizations will also be reflecting on their experiences in the community.
