Public Health Club is a student organization devoted to the discussion and advocacy of current public health issues. Each semester we choose a public health issue to focus on for the semester. We spend the semester enacting a campaign in order to educate ourselves and the community about this issue and promote public health awareness. Campaigns vary each semester, but past examples have included organ donation, mental health stigma, OTC drug safety, sleep, and stress. Examples of future issues to tackle may include environmental problems in public health, social determinants of health, the meat industry, or anything in between! Another key part of our club is discussing current public health events to continually inform ourselves about these issues. We also enjoy service and work to develop a more cohesive relationship with our community. Public Health Club is a space where students with a passion public health can come together and forge connections with like-minded individuals. Students from all backgrounds and majors are welcome!
