About

The COACH Program at Community Knights enables young adults with and without disabilities to become community leaders by providing equitable access to volunteer opportunities via a peer-to-peer support network. Virtual activity attendees have the opportunity to learn about working with individuals with disabilities by attending program social and education events. Volunteers will be expected to model appropriate social interactions by participating in game nights, asking questions during information activities, and engaging in craft projects virtually. We host virtual activities every Monday and Thursday evening at 5:30 pm via Zoom.

This opportunity is posted by William & Mary to share community needs with interested students. The specific volunteer opportunities are fully managed by the community organizations hosting them and William & Mary does not have any oversight of those experiences.

Requirement Details

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
